COGNITIVE MAP

 A cognitive map is a visual representation of relationships between ideas, concepts or pieces of information. It helps organize and structure knowledge by showing how different concept are connected. Cognitive map provide a clear structure that helps learners to grasp complex subjects more effectively than reading a text alone. I have created a digital cognitive map based on XI unit "Braving the Hazards". It contains a essay, story and a poem. I listed out various activities provided in the text along with important themes. This cognitive map will help learners to retain memory for a longer period of time. I created a handwritten cognitive map of XII unit "Heights of Harmony". It contains a poem, story and a one act play. I listed out various activities in the unit along with highlighting the themes of the unit and how  they are connected.   

DIGITAL TEXT

 A digital textbook  is an electronic version of a traditional printed textbook. It can be accessed on devices like computers, tablets, and e-readers. It allows learners to study anytime and anywhere. As part of B.Ed curriculum, I have done a digital textbook based on the chapter 'The Nightingale and the Rose' by Oscar Wilde. I converted the story into a poem by covering key elements of the story. I have included detailed version of glossary and various activities. INNOVATIVE WORK

 An Innovative Model in education refers to a creative and practical solution that improves existing systems or introduces new concepts. The innovative models will help students to attain information about the subject with clarity. I have created a innovative model based on the grammar topic "Noun Phrase". A noun phrase is a group of words that works together as a unit in a sentence I have created a model on this specific grammar topic to make students understand it effectively.  

Teaching Practice Phase 2- Week 6

  WEEK 6 (9 Dec - 11 Dec) On 9th December I gave corrected answer sheets back to students. Vaisagi L.P got first with a mark 22 out of 25. I gave her a pen as a gift for her achievement. This day I also have shown students my innovative work based on grammar topic 'Noun Phrase'. Students seem attentive as they were curious when I used the model to teach them.  As any other week I served mid day meals for the students and got involved in serving delicious mid day meals for the students. As teaching was nearing an end, the teachers of the school asked us to take photos with them happily.         The last day of teaching practice phase 2 was marked on 11th December 2024. I enjoyed teacher practice a lot even at times when I was frustrated from workload. I truly wish every goodness to dear students. The school gave us farewell party as a token of love. Teaching Practice Phase 2 - Week 5

  WEEK 5 This   week I took classes for 2 days only. I got sick and took leave. I got involved in daily discipline duty. And on afternoon I served mid day meals for the students. On 6th December I have conducted achievement test for the students based on the topics that I taught them. Achievement tests will help teacher to understand and analyze attainment of subject knowledge of the students. The students attended the exam was 24 in number. 

ICT - Phase 2

 In today’s digital age, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) plays a crucial role in transforming education. In schools, ICT enhances teaching, learning, school management, and student engagement, making education more interactive and effective. One of the greatest benefits of ICT in education is its ability to make teaching and learning more engaging. I took a class for students inculcating ICT to make learning process engaging. I taught the 'A Day in the Country' by Anton Pavlov Chekhov. I used pictures, videos, and slides to transact the lesson. I inculcated ICT in each and every step of the lesson plan. The student was attentive when I taught them. I used PPT through interactive whiteboard to teach students. In a technology ruling era, teachers must inculcate ICT to make the teaching learning process effectively

Teaching Practice Phase 2 - Week 4

  WEEK 4 (25 Nov - 29 Nov) This week I helped students to organize their innovative idea to submit on "School Innovative Marathon". A School Innovative Marathon is a competition designed to encourage students to develop creative and practical solutions to real-world problems. The students was cooperative and helpful. They elaborated their innovative idea to me for to make it as a short essay. As every other day, I got discipline duty and during afternoons I served mid day meals for the students. On 26th November Mr. Nadeem Surfid sir came to observe and review my classes. He told me I improved a lot in terms of teaching. He concluded my class as a good one.
